Our Annual Rose Sale

Our recent Annual Rose Sale was a huge success! THANK YOU to all our volunteers who have been working so hard the past year growing and nurturing the roses, volunteering time and energy to advertise, set up shop, help customers, and more.

And also a warm thank you to the folks who visited us and left with some roses for their garden. It was wonderful meeting new friends, gaining new members, talking roses and enjoying the beautiful spring sunshine.

We sold over 100 roses today! There were OGR’s, Hybrid Teas, Floribundas, Shrubs, Climbers, Species and more. It was wonderful to see all the color and variety in one place.

Visitors to our sale picked up roses, free fertilizer and tips for caring for their roses. Help was given to select the right rose for the right place and lots of questions were answered about rose culture.

We also sold a bunch more t-shirts, but still have some in stock! You can also sign up for a membership to our society in our shop, too.

If you missed the sale, not to worry, we will still have roses for you to enjoy at our Annual Rose Exhibition coming up in just two weeks!

At our Exhibition, held at the North Carolina Arboretum, hundreds of cut roses, in all the various shapes, sizes and colors, will be on display.

Members of our Society will be on hand to answer all your questions. There will also be free talks about various rose topics including basics such as: how to grow roses, pruning tips, selecting easy-care roses, and more.
