Minutes from the March meeting were approved.
Treasurers’ Report- René Moore reported a balance of around $600. (After
calculating checks received today, $681.78.) No reimbursements can be
made till after Rose Sale.
Weeks Roses- Doug Hauschild has gotten feedback that some of the
Weeks roses aren’t doing well. Email him with name of rose and if it was
purchased or being “babysat” if you didn’t notify him at the meeting.

Website- Marjorie Iles reported our website is being updated and we have
a new website developer. The new site is much bolder, while being elegant
and cost effective. Cost $999 for development, $1,000 per year to
maintain. Site will go up in May and she will go over at a future meeting.
Red Cross Garden- Deb Wagner will be in the garden this Thursday, April
18 at 9:00am. Anyone is welcome to participate and learn about spraying.
(bring your own coffee!) Help needed in July- Doug, Martha Bader, and
Mark volunteered.
Maintenance guidelines will be posted on website.
Fertilizer survey- Mary Ann Willingham passed out results of fertilizer
survey.
Rose Sale- May 18, 10am-2pm at 59 Woodfin Place. We can start set up
the night before, there will be a guard through the night. Sign up sheet

Rose Exhibition- May 24 set up, May 25-26 exhibition at NC Arboretum.
Dianne Sneath gave an overview of the Exhibition for those who haven’t
participated at one. She encouraged everyone to bring roses from their
gardens and gave tips on how to display. Most of all, have fun!
ARS and NC Arboretum members enter the Arboretum for free with
membership card. If anyone not a member let Dianne know so she can
give your name to Security at Arboretum entrance.

June 9 meeting- Instead of our regular meeting at the Red Cross we will
have a tour of the Biltmore Rose Garden. The tour will be led by Stacey
Weir, horticulture manager.
